Backyard Reading & Bird Watching

Two Great Ways to Enjoy Backyard Birds –Read With Them and Watch Them Too!

There is little more delightful than sitting in a hammock under the shade of a tree on a balmy day.  If you can stay awake during the gentle back and forth swaying of your hammock, then some reading you can do.

I must confess, I am prone to nodding off rather quickly.  My little corgi usually breaks up my reverie however with a shrill bark when she sees something really dangerous like a bird or a chameleon.

Here are a few book and magazine selections you might find interesting for yourself or to give as gifts for others.  I looked at all age groups, because of my family.  It is so much easier if I have something in mind and ready to go for special occasions.

There was a time when the kids didn’t want what they called, “mystery gifts”, but now they enjoy the surprises I come up with for them.  It makes me happy to surprise them too. Like just now a surprise, while it lasts, I found a terrific sale item at the bottom of the books of a pair of genuine Bushnell Binoculars perfect for the backyard.
